WINGS (Women Inspiring, Nuturing,Giving Strength and Support), a cancer support group for women, will be holding a workshop called “Expression Through Motion” on Thursday, January 16, from 7 to 9 p.m. at The Verona Community Center.
The facilitator is Maureen Glennon of Moe-Tion Dance Theatre Company. Glennon, a founding member of WINGS and a breast cancer survivor, strongly believes that movement is good medicine and exploring one’s thoughts and emotions allows healing to happen. Her workshop will consist of a gentle warm-up and develop into a class using gesture and movement. The workshop will conclude with a dance performance by Moe-Tion Dance Theatre Company.
