Verona’s designated local historic landmark, the Verona United Methodist Church, will be the site of the Verona Historical Society meeting on Tuesday, December 3 at 7:30 p.m. The presentation will feature the history of the Verona Methodist Church—the oldest religious organization in Verona, which is more than 175 years old.
The current edifice was built in 1909 and is a candidate for listing on the New Jersey State and National Registers of Historic Places. It is a beautiful structure trimmed in oak and features stained glass windows some of which are attributed to Tiffany.
All are welcome, admission is free. Holiday refreshments will be served following the presentation.
The Verona United Methodist Church is located at 26 Montrose Ave. For more info contact Julie at [email protected] or 973-857-1968 or visit the Verona Historical Society’s website.
