A 3112The Human Needs Food Pantry, a Montclair-based organization that also helps Verona families in need, needs more turkeys for its clients for Thanksgiving.

According to a post on Baristanet, Human Needs has plans to give out 600 turkeys next week, but it does not have that many on hand.

If you’ve got a frozen turkey you could donate, Human Needs will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday so you can drop it off. The food pantry says 10 to 12-pound frozen turkeys are best. It is also looking for Thanksgiving fixings like canned yams, boxed mashed potatoes, stuffing mix, gravy, cranberry sauce, boxed piecrust, prepared pie fillings.

If you don’t have a turkey but you’d like to help, you can make a donation through Human Needs’ Web site via PayPal.
