The Verona Fire Department’s Color Guard presented the flags on Sunday before the Jets-Steelers game at MetLife Stadium. VFD Captain Bill Neal carried the American flag and was joined by Ed Pope, Rick Neale, Steven Neale, Dave Steitz and Steve Tedesco.
Along with regularly drilling their fire-fighting skills, the members of the VFD also practice the proper presentation of flags on ceremonial occasions. The VFD Color Guard also presented the flags at a Giant’s game last year.
