TCH-Rainforest1This promises to be the most exciting week yet at The Children’s House Rainforest-themed summer camp program. Open to children aged 3-6, this 3-week summer camp program is providing a hands-on approach to learning about all aspects of the rainforest.

During the first week of camp, boys and girls learned about the 4 layers of the rainforest—the Forest Floor, the Understory, the Canopy and the Emergent Layers. The second week was full of special guests, insect hunts and a tiger-shaped jumping castle.

This week the children will get up-close and personal with some reptilian rainforest animals thanks to one special visitor. There will also be outdoor sports and water activities on Thursday and a face painter on Friday. Summer days really are fun days at The Children’s House in Verona.

Established in 1966, The Children’s House is a non-profit, non-denominational Montessori preschool located at 26 Montrose Avenue in Verona, NJ. TCH-Rainforest1
