Eight Verona residents–Devyn Bevilacqua, Sean Buzaid, Catherine Cordero, David Cordero, Laryssa Horodysky, Zoriana Horodysky, Jenni Lyon, and Mary Wallace–along with Cedar Grove resident Magdalena Botrous will perform at the annual student piano recital presented by Michael Palmieri at The Church of the Immaculate Conception in Montclair on Saturday, June 15 at 2 p.m.
Devyn Bevilacqua, a H. B. Whitehorne Middle School eighth grade student, will play “Sonatina Op. 36, No. 1, Mo. 3” by M. Clementi.
Magdalena Botrous, who attends Our Lady of the Lake School, where she is in eighth grade, will play M. Clementi’s “Sonatina Op.36, No. 2, Move. 3”.
Sean Buzaid will perform “Fantasia K. 475” by W. A. Mozart. Sean is an eleventh grade pupil at Seton Hall Prep.
Catherine Cordero, another H. B. Whitehorne Middle School eighth grader, will play “Intermezzo Op. 76, No. 7” by J. Brahms.
David Cordero will play “Bright Days” by M. Palmieri. David also attends H. B. Whitehorne Middle School, where he is in the fifth grade.
Laryssa Horodysky is an eighth grade pupil at Our Lady of the Lake School. She will play “Prelude No. 1” from The Well Tempered Clavier by J. S. Bach.
Zoriana Horodysky, who is a second grader at Our Lady of the Lake School, will play “Happy Song” by M. Palmieri
Jenni Lyon, another eighth grader attending Our Lady of the Lake School, will play “Scherzo in G” by F. J. Haydn.
Mary Elizabeth Wallace, a fourth grade student at Forest Ave. School, will play “Arabesque” by F. Burgmuller.
Michael Palmieri, a professional musician, composer and local piano teacher for 36 years, had annually presented his pupils at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.
The June 15 recital at The Church of the Immaculate Conception is free and open to the public. The church is located at 30 North Fullerton Ave.
