Girls Track Takes Third In Pawlowski Relays

Track-StockThe Verona Girls Track Team had a very strong performance at the Pawlowski Relays in Ridgewood this past Saturday with a third place overall finish in a field of 18 teams.

The pole-vault relay of Gabby Mercurio, Cristina Calandra and Tara Hull took first place, while the following relays all had fourth place finishes:

Long-Jump: Laura Williams, Colleen Farrell, Caroline Kirnan.
4x200m: Laura Williams, Jess Williams, Angel Barkley, Colleen Farrell.
Shuttle Hurdles: Laura Williams, Jess Williams, Sarah Conboy, Marybeth Grund.
Distance Medley: Amanda Flores, Angel Barkley, Emily Petermann, Melanie Egan.
Discus: Diana Moczula, Sonali Vaishnav, Christina Carlucci
4 x 800m: Kelsey Attamante, Melanie Egan, Amanda Flores, Sarah Conboy.

There was also a sixth place finish in the 4 x 1600m by the team of Amanda Flores, Emily Petermann, Julia Capuano and Melanie Egan.
