MyVeronaNJ-Jazz-Night-ThumbVerona Jazz & Beyond, the Verona High School jazz band, is playing a gig out of town next Monday that you may want to put on your calendar.

The band will be performing at SuzyQue’s BBQ and Bar, a West Orange restaurant that would be one of our favorite barbecue spots in New Jersey even if it weren’t owned by an old friend from New York City.

SuzyQue’s is located at 34 South Valley Road in West Orange, which sports parents may recognize as being around the corner from Our Lady of the Valley High School. It’s about a 15-minute trip from Verona and the map below will get you there. Verona Jazz & Beyond goes on at 7 p.m. There’s no cover for the music, and you can plan your dinner by sneaking a peek at the menu here.

The night is a warm-up for the jazz band’s annual Jazz Night at VHS, which will be held on Wednesday, April 17 at 7:30 p.m.
