Money-Wrench-Budget

There’s a lot happening in and around Verona every week. Here are five things that you might need to put on your calendar for this week. Click the orange arrow to see all five.

Budget crunch time: There will be a general budget presentation on Tuesday, February 18, at 7 p.m. at the Town Council meeting in Town Hall. The overview will be followed by a series of workshops on individual aspects of the budget on February 25, and March 4, 11, 18, and 19. But unlike the regular Council meetings, the workshops may not be televised on VTV. Town Manager Joe Martin opposed a request to do so at the last Council meeting, saying, “it turns into soundbites”. The budget will be formally introduced on April 1.
