Crock It! Seeing Double

In my previous life, I had a colleague who owned two slow cookers and would use them at the same time to make enough pulled pork for a small army. At the time, I just couldn’t grasp the necessity of using two slow cookers at once. Now, after treating myself to a new programmable Crock-Pot® for Christmas, I finally understand, and appreciate, the possibilities of having two slow cookers going at the same time. Perhaps soon, Sara Matthews, the winner of our Slow Cooker Giveaway, will also have a similar revelation.

This week, as football reaches its seasonal pinnacle of  the Super Bowl, having two slow cookers could help keep you out of the kitchen. I”ve gone through all our Crock It! recipes and pulled out pairs of dishes that work well together to create a big meal for the big game. We’ve even got a vegetarian option. If you only have one slow cooker, this could be just the right excuse to buy a second one, or invite a friend over for the game and ask her if you can borrow hers for a few hours.
