Snowflakes For Newtown

Michele Bernardino has family ties to Sandy Hook Elementary School, the school where 20 children and six adults were killed before Christmas. She has let us know that the Newtown PTA is collecting snowflakes to decorate the school, to turn it into a winter wonderland when the students return.

If anyone in Verona would like to make snowflakes for the project, Bernardino is offering to collect them and bring them to Newtown tomorrow, Saturday, December 29. Send her an email to let her know you’ll be dropping some snowflakes off, or just leave them on the doorstep at 50 Morningside Road.

If you can’t make that deadline, you can still help. You can mail your snowflakes to Connecticut PTSA, 60 Connolly Parkway, Building 12, Suite 103, Hamden, CT 06514, by January 12, 2013.
