Our Cookbook: ‘Cook It! Verona’

By on December 6, 2012

After nearly three years of food recipes, chef interviews and covering everything from slow cooking to preserving to cooking around small children, MyVeronaNJ.com has amassed a lot of recipes. So we thought it was time to make finding the best recipes easier for our readers.

The result is the Cook It! Verona cookbook, available for purchase as a hardcover or softcover book, as a tablet-friendly e-book and as a free bonus for our subscribers (more about that in a minute).

If you’re looking at that picture of Maroon and White ice cream below and wondering what it tastes like, there’s only one place to find out. It’s one of the six previously unpublished recipes that can be found only in Cook It! Verona. The 58-page cookbook covers soups, sides, main dishes and desserts, with photos of each recipe.

The good news is that we’re not keeping this food fabulousness all to ourselves. Here’s how to get your copy from our publisher, Blurb.com, in time for holiday gift giving:

  1. Click on this link, to go to the Cook It! Verona page on Blurb.com
  2. Choose your book format: print or electronic. There are three different print versions, with different paper qualities
  3. The e-book is $23.99, and the print versions range from $31.95 to $43.95, depending on the cover and paper.
  4. The e-books are immediately downloadable. Printed books take about a week to produce and then a week to ship, if you don’t want to pay for expedited shipping.

So how do you get the e-book for free? Join MyVeronaNJ.com with a donation of at least $24 and we’ll gift you the e-book. Click on the button below to send in your payment via PayPal. (Current subscribers have already been sent a link to the e-book; if you didn’t get yours, let us know.)

I actually bought the printed version at Watchung Booksellers in Montclair this past Friday and on Saturday made the meringue chocolate chip cookies (I have never been able to master these ) but the recipe was great!! They worked out so well I made them the next day too… plus Ive already seen several recipes for dinner that I can make this week. Great cookbook and its to support a great and very helpful website for our town!!!
