The Junior Woman’s Club of Verona is collecting unopened or unused Halloween candy from November 1 through November 15. All candy will be donated to Dr. Matthew Peluso, a Cedar Grove orthodontist who pays cash in exchange for candy, and all of the proceeds will go toward UNICEF. The United Nations Children’s Fund works in 190 countries and territories to save and improve children’s lives, providing health care and immunizations, clean water and sanitation, nutrition, education, emergency relief and more.

If you would like to donate, Candy Collection bins can be found at Brookdale, F.N. Brown, Laning and Verona High School. Forest Avenue School’s collection is being coordinated by the Cub Scouts Pack 31. They will be collecting candy from November 1 through November 5 at Forest Avenue school and will be donating their collected candy to the Verona Juniors.
