To promote awareness and appreciation of veterans in Verona, and raise funds for local veterans organizations, the Junior Woman’s Club of Verona is holding a fundraiser, Flags Out Front. The group is selling packets of small American flags for residents to display in their front yards for Veterans Day.

The flags, made by local flagmaker Annin, will be sold in packets of 8 for $15 (the Support package) or 12 for $20 (the Honor package.) Packages can be ordered online through the Junior’s Web site, or by completing an order form (available at Town Hall) until October 26. Flags will be delivered the first week in November, to be displayed in your front yard on Sunday, November 11 and Monday, November 12.

In addition, those who purchase an Honor package can submit the name of a veteran to be included on a Page of Appreciation that will be included in every flag package and on the Junior’s Web site. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the Bloomfield Vet Center, with a portion going towards the mission of the Junior Woman’s Club. For more information or an order form, email [email protected] or call (201) 988-2404.
