Baby Jordyn

On Saturday, September 29, the workout at Hardbodyz Fitness is going to be even harder than usual. That day, the Verona gym is going to be holding a spin-a-thon for Miracle Walk, a charity that supports the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Saint Barnabas Medical Center.

Hardbodyz is holding the event to honor the daughter of one of its members. Jordyn was born at 24 weeks and spent three months in the NICU. She is now a thriving one year old. “We at Hardbodyz have partnered with Miracle Walk for a spin-a-thon to benefit the foundation so other children like Jordyn can receive the same care she did and live long healthy lives,” says Hardbodyz owner Stephanie Gencarelli.

The suggested donation for the spin-a-thon is $20 to $30, and with the spin class you will receive a free protein shake, a Hardbodyz lanyard and meet Jordyn. The first class starts at 8 a.m. that Saturday, and there will be a donation class every hour on the hour through the afternoon. Spinners may pick their own time by registering through this Facebook page.

Miracle Walk, which raises money specifically for the Saint Barnabas NICU, is also holding a walk in Verona Park on Sunday, October 7. You can get more information about that event here.
