Pet Adoption Of The Week: Layla

The Montclair Animal Shelter is looking for someone to adopt Layla. Found as a stray in New York City, she was adopted to a loving home through the ASPCA there. But her guardians lost their apartment, and Layla migrated to a family friend in Montclair. While Layla liked her new Montclair guardian, the situation was not ideal as she was living with a dog who was not cat-friendly. Her new guardian thought she deserved a home where she did not have to live in fear. The shelter says Layla needs to be in an adult-only home, since she does not like to be picked up.

For information about Layla, or another cat, dog, or small furry animal, please call the Montclair Animal Shelter at (973) 744-8600 or visit the shelter’s Web site . The shelter, located at 77 No. Willow St.,Montclair, is open on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m. Animals may be seen by appointment on Monday.
