Verona Police have charged two men in connection with the recent thefts from cars belonging to members of Platinum Fitness.

The two men were identified as Samuel Tirone from Woodland Park and Giovanni Gallo from Wayne. They have been charged with criminal trespassing in Verona and the case has turned over to Fairfield where the pair attempted one purchase with a stolen credit that was denied and completed another.

Verona Police obtained pictures of the men using the cards in Fairfield and matched them to people on video from the Pilgrim Plaza-based gym who had entered without checking in. The VPD sent the information out to police departments across the state and say they got calls from police departments in several different towns where similar crimes had occurred.
