Obituaries: Jean McEnroe
Mrs. Jean McEnroe, 59, died on Friday, November 25, 2011 in Livingston.
A funeral mass will be offered in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona on Tuesday, November 29 at 10AM. Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Born in Astoria, N.Y., Mrs. McEnroe moved to Verona in 1955. She worked for the Township of Verona for 19 years, retiring as the Town Clerk three weeks ago. Mrs. McEnroe is a former CCD teacher at Our Lady of the Lake Parish.
She is the beloved wife of William P. McEnroe, the mother of Owen (and his wife Jamie) and Margaret (Meggie), the daughter of Raymond H. and Jean W. O’Brien and the sister of Noreen Santuoso (and her husband Martin), Kathleen Leonardelli (and her husband Paul), Virginia Coffey (and her husband Dennis), Colleen McNamara (and her husband Paul), and Raymond E. O’Brien. She is also the sister-in-law of John McEnroe, Margaret Wentworth, Patricia Carroll and the aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her inlaws, Margaret and John McEnroe and her niece Jana Rae.
