Calvary Canned Food Drive Starts October 9

Calvary Lutheran Church will hold another “Can It With Calvary” food drive beginning Sunday October 9. Doorknob hangers with details will be distributed in Verona as part of Calvary’s Mission Sunday. The focus of Mission Sunday is service to others.

The church is encouraging the community to drop off food in Calvary’s collection boxes at the front of the church at 23 South Prospect Street or at the Hill Street entrance during the week of October 9. Monetary donations will also be accepted.

If you would like to have your donations picked up on Saturday morning, October 15, e-mail the church or call (973) 239-0577. Include your address & phone number.

High protein items such as canned tuna, salmon, Spam, chicken, & ham; peanut butter in plastic jars; powdered milk & infant formulas; canned/packaged meals such as mac/cheese, chili, stews, meaty soups; pasta; potatoes; rice; beans; canned vegetables and fruit are most welcomed.
