The Game Room Store Pirates, guided by manager Wayne Masters, defeated the SJ Carney Roofing A’s, lead by returning manager Brian Venner, on Saturday June 25 to capture the Verona Baseball & Softball League’s Pony League Baseball World Series, two games to one.

The Pirates, lead by strong pitching performances by Austin Masters and Luke Connel, convincingly defeated the A’s. The Pirates capitalized on some base on balls, and some timely hitting by Louis Natalini and PJ Walshe. Noah Chait had two hits. The defense of Marcus McMickle, Jerry Robson, Liam Blaney and Anthony Giuliano was anchored by another strong catching performance by Christian Alfano.
