For the past few summers, the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit in Verona has been using an innovative, interactive program for its vacation bible school. The children who have participated have taken imaginative trips 2,000 years back in time to Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Rome and Egypt to get a different perspective on faith.

This year, Holy Spirit is going to Nazareth and its vacation bible school runs from Tuesday, July 5 through Thursday, July 7. The program is formatted specifically for children who are entering grades K-5 for the 2011-2012 school year. The cost is just $35 per child for all three days or $12 for one day. Family discounts are available. For more information, see Holy Spirit’s vacation bible school Web site or call the church office for more information at 973-239-2850.  Holy Spirit is located at 36 Gould Street, just opposite the middle school field.
