If we can all stop sneezing long enough to think about it, this is the time to start planting spring and summer flowers. My mother always says to wait until after Mother’s Day to be sure of no more frost–to me it just helps the procrastination. If you’re looking for a local group to support with the purchase of flowers and herbs, The Children’s House of Verona is holding their annual plant sale this week. They will be selling flowers, herbs, and vegetable plants. Orders need to be placed by noon this Friday, May 6. Plants will be available for pick up on May 17 and 18.
