Connie Pifher, Verona’s Health & Social Services Program Coordinator, is reaching out to the community to help Verona families in need this holiday season. Under her annual “Holidays are for Sharing” program, she collects gift cards that can be distributed to families to help them buy presents or cover holiday needs. The most requested gift cards are those for food stores, Target, Kohl’s, K-Mart, Walmart, and movie theaters. If you can donate a gift card, bring it to Pifher’s office at the Verona Community Center by this Friday, December 17. Some of the school SCAs are also collecting gift card donations.
