If the bookshelves in your house are anything like mine, then perhaps it’s time for a little fall cleaning. If your books are in good condition and you’re looking for both a good home for them as well as something new to read, we’ve got an event for you.
The Children’s House of Verona, a non-profit Montessori preschool, is hosting its annual “Go Green” book fair. The way it works is like this: The Children’s House is collecting gently used books for all ages between Monday, October 18 and Thursday, October 21. Books can be dropped off in collection bins during school hours from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Then, on Monday, October 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m, return to the school to browse through a vast selection of books ranging in price from $1 to $5. The Book Fair will be held at the school’s entrance. The Children’s House is located at 26 Montrose Avenue, with the entrance on Hill street. Proceeds will go to the school and any leftover books will be donated to a local charity. If you have any questions, please contact Suzanne Giarusso.
