Kip’s Castle Concert Friday Night

The only one of the Essex County summer parks concerts that will be held in Verona will happen on Friday night, August 13, at 7:30 p.m., at Kip’s Castle. The featured group is the Garden State Concert Band, which will perform a variety of hits from the Big Band era, including songs by Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, County Basie, Duke Ellington and Stan Kenton. The band is led by conductor Dominic Ferrara.

And if being on top of the ridge that overlooks Verona doesn’t cool you down, maybe looking at Fred Goode‘s photo of Kip’s this past winter will.
