Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. and the Essex County Division of Housing and Community Development are holding a free conference next weekend to help first-time homebuyers and current homeowners learn about resources available to purchase and improve a home.
The Housing Expo will be held on Saturday, June 19, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Newark Tech, which is located at 91 West Market Street in Newark.
The Essex County Division of Housing and Community Development will highlight several of its programs that provide technical and financial assistance to prospective home buyers and current homeowners who meet specific income guidelines. You can learn about purchasing and financing a home, about performing regular home maintenance to avoid costly emergency repairs, and about how to avoid foreclosure. You can also get information from financial organizations, home inspectors, real estate agents and credit counselors.
For more information, call the Essex County Division of Housing and Community Development at 973-655-0200.
