A joint investigation by Verona and Cedar Grove police led to the arrest Wednesday of a 48-year-old Cedar Grove man on charges that he intended to sell $15,000 worth of prescription drugs.
The Star-Ledger reported today that Robert F. Sugrue was arrested about 11:40 a.m. at his home on Mawal Drive. Sugre, who is unemployed, tried to sell 1,600 pills to an undercover police officer. He claimed they were oxycodone but they turned out to be a different drug. After the arrest, police found 9,000 more pills, identifed as antidepressants nortriptyline and Cymbalta, anti-psychotic medication Risperdal and benzatropine.
