Verona School Budget Passes
Verona voters approved a difficult budget by a margin of 1130 to 1048 tonight. Board members Glenn Elliott and Michael Unis, who were running unopposed, won reelection to their seats. More details as we get them.
Track In Motion
On Monday, the Verona boys’ and girls’ track teams competed at H.B. Whitehorne Middle School against East Orange and Immaculate Conception high schools. The Verona Fire Department‘s annual pancake breakfast fundraiser is this Sunday, April 25. For just $20 a family can get pancakes, sausage, orange juice and coffee for the grownups. Fred Hill Jr. To Leave Rutgers Basketball
Former Verona resident Fred Hill Jr. has reportedly accepted a settlement from Rutgers University to step down as basketball coach. Hill had been coaching at Rutgers since 2006 and posted a career record of 47-77.
