The third novel of Glen Ridge-based author Debbie Galant, which sets the evolution of a suburban marriage against the backdrop of New Jersey car culture, appears today in bookstores nationwide. Galant is editor-in-chief of Baristanet, the news Web site for Montclair, Bloomfield and Glen Ridge, and sister site to MyVeronaNJ.
Published by St. Martin’s Press, “Cars From A Marriage” is, according to Publisher’s Weekly, ” a “unique, unforgettable” portrait of the 20-year marriage of a New Jersey couple through the lens of the cars they own, from a ’74 Mustang to a Chevy Suburban. Check out Galant’s “auto-review” on crazy-for-books.com. The public is invited to her book party at Cafe Eclectic in Montclair on May 6 from 7 to 9 p.m., where signed books will be available for purchase along with coffee and dessert.
