Girls’ Lacrosse Edges Past Morristown

The Verona High School Girl’s Varsity Lacrosse team beat Morristown High School in an away match on Saturday by a score of 12-10.

Julieanne Mascera and Caroline Brennis both had hat tricks (3 goals each) and both had two assists.  Casie Milmoe scored two goals, while Tedi Rosenstein, Emily Fitzpatrick, Shannon Curran and Carly Maestas all scored one goal; Maestas also had an assist.  Goal Keeper Melanie McClellan had 12 saves.

Verona’s record is now 2 wins and 2 losses on the season. The girls have a home game against Caldwell on Monday afternoon at  4 p.m. at Centennial Field and another home game at that field on Wednesday at 4 p.m. against Morristown Beard.
