Verona Schools Closed Friday

The Global Connect call just came through: Verona public schools will be closed tomorrow, February 26. Our Lady of the Lake school will be closed as well.

Verona joins the public schools in Montclair, Bloomfield, Glen Ridge and North Caldwell, as well as Mount Saint Dominic Academy. That’s the list so far, but there will likely be more. Barista Kids is keeping count here.

The National Weather Service has extended its winter storm warning through 6 a.m. Saturday. It is warning that the heavy wet snow could bring down trees and power lines, so be alert. Earlier today a branch snapped on a tree in New York City’s Central Park, killing a pedestrian.
