The days are short, the temperature is near freezing: It must be time to register for spring sports in Verona.
Verona Youth Lacrosse has opened online registration for the 2010 spring season. The program is open to boys and girls in kindergarten through 8th grade, and the season will begin with practices in March and run into June. Time commitments vary, from one hour a week for the K to 2 group, to multiple practices and matches for the upper grades. But organizers say their goal is to have children out no more than 4 times a week. Fees for the program range from $45 for the youngest players to $150 for boys in grades 7 and 8.
